discovered. There is not much story her upbringing and how she reached to this point in her life, but the one thing that is certain is that she is determined. She knows exactly what she wants – to become very successful and reach her goal. As long as she remains focused that will most definitely happen.

Indie music is very specific and easily defined whether it is by the music itself or the fashion that goes along with it. An artist’s individualism is not only represented through song, as they represent themselves and who they are through their sense of style. Just like music, it is a form of art. Fashion is about expression which is why ones choice of clothing or style provides the ability to be nothing but them selves. It offers the opportunity to create your own style and be whoever you want to be. It is about passion and freedom. As shown in the pictures, one is able to observe how Natalie displays her herself and individualism through her ensemble. She does not have your typical Indie Rock style. She has more of a softer edge. She wears an assortment of prints and textures, but also is very simple. Her style is very sweet and youthful.

In the fashion world, trying to manipulate a certain look and buying exactly what you see on TV or in a magazine and can be expensive. Looks can be achieved in an affordable way. It is fair to say that with the Indie style being as unique as it is, it can be easily identified, though when comparing each artist, there are differences through theirown personal touch. To achieve the “Indie Style” like Natalie, one look being more sweet where the other has more edge, it is easy to do on a budget. The one thing anyone should remember before purchasing anything is that even though one may be trying to imitate someone else’s look is to incorporate themselves. Self-expression and a positive mentality are definitely major components to not only have this particular look, but any look.

An outfit consists of many parts whether it’s the shirt one chooses to wear to the shoes they decide to goes with it. Perhaps tees with witty sayings or prints would definitely work. Originality is the epitome or the Indie style. For Natalie’s softer Indie look, one can go with baby doll shirts, crop tops or even tees. Floral dresses fit this look as well, as they are versatile and can warn all year round. Everything suggested can be paired with a nice pair of trendy skinny jeans or leggings. Even loose or fitted skirts, whether they are plain or have a print on them, they work. One thing to always keep in mind is to be brave with fashion. Now, for her more edgy style, I feel as if it is more of a modern day vintage. Cardigans blazers and especially leather jackets will make this look come alive. A vest is also a good piece of clothing to wear as it can be worn with pretty much anything. Aside from the clothing, comes the accessories and choice of footwear. After all, they do complete an outfit and make it what it is. Any Indie person should have a variety of jewellery and footwear to choose from. Some footwear that would accent Natalie’s look is boots; some tall some short, but each of of which have a different texture or material such as leather, sued or velvet. Another shoe could be a simple flat shoe. You can find them in solid colours, or even a print. Play around with both the accessories and footwear, as it will definitely compliment and add a personal touch to an outfit. When it comes to jewellery for the Indie style, you can go from a chunkier look to much for simple look. In achieving Natalie’s look, the choice of outfit will determine what type of accessories to math it with. From long necklaces to short and chunky, anything will go. Belts are also very fashionable. They are very flattering to the body depending how they are worn and also add a nice touch to an outfit. They come in many styles, so wear something that is different and something that represents you! Scarves are essential in the Indie world of style. From scarves that are circle or straight, or a simple colour or that may have a pattern on it, anything goes. Over all, after everything is put together and an outfit is complete, you will be able to see that sense of individualism and style. Also, one must know that anything that it bought does not need to be designer that is not necessary. You can create the desired look in a much more affordable way! This is so because in the end even though it would have cost much cheaper, the final product provides the same look, if not better! One thing to always remember is that whether it is the music or fashion, being Indie is about individualism and no one can pull off their own look better then themselves, so go for it and show what you are all about!
